SWELTER SUMMER, NOT FOR THE UN-WEATHERED

It’s El weathering hot, for the country this summer.

A sample of how sunny the weather is in the country. Here is a panoramic view of a local tollway. The photo is only used to illustrate and complement the topic. Brightness and contrast have been adjusted on this photo, which was taken by the writer/blogger of this site- Fated to Write by Anna.

Good summer to all readers of Fated to Write by Anna.

In my place, the season of summer has not just arrived but it has made the rest of us obedient to the high temp that we cannot go out without shade, or a functional umbrella to keep us company.

El Niño which has been happening already, is the weather bout that most have to contend with. El Niño is affecting a lifestyle change nonetheless. And no one has to go to the farmland just to have this felt (news reports say it’s gonna be worst in the rural areas), where the rise in temperature is very evident.

From 29 to 35 degrees temperature, still climbing up to 39 degrees, as published by the weather bureau. It is a caution that must be heard.

URBAN SUMMER, MAKE IT FAIRER

As a city-bred net-i-zen (pun), it is nice to have indoor plants at home. But these too are showing signs of being affected by the unfriendly sunnyness of the climate.

That’s just one.

The clothes that one must wear here must be on the comfy side, not on the maximalist side of fashion (no layering of clothes is suggested).

Hence, casual clothing pieces are a necessity. Forego the excesses to make way for simple fashion.

Ultimately the weather can hurt the skin without the right fit of clothes and accessories.

The lifestyle adjustments one has to make, in preparation for a still EL NIÑO are as follows:

PREPARING THE HOMESPACE WITH A MORE WEATHER-FRIENDLY INTERIOR. The house interior must be freshened up with new shades and window covers that grant enough coverage against the sun. These help the ones at home to be more comfortable while staying indoors.

GETTING THE RIGHT ACCESSORIES FOR OUTDOOR USE. Big umbrellas of all kinds can come in handy here. Those “unwanted” tarpaulins that have been used for advertising can now be recycled as a backup shade for outdoor and indoor use. Everything that can be reused or repurposed at home, to give enough protection is useful in times of El Niño.

BOOST WATER INTAKE. Eight glasses of water to fill in are not enough. More is more. And less can be dangerous. Getting oneself rehydrated is best to counter the effects of hot weather on ordinary days when one can be challenged by it.
